The Collection

Most of the paintings I’ve completed for my not-yet-scheduled art show so far this year (The Queen of the Forest lives in my friend’s house as a birthday present, but when I get my show lined up I’ll borrow it back to put on display).

Shown here:
-The Artichoke Queen
-Snail Lady
-Dandelion Head
-The Vegetable Triptych
-Chicken Lady
-The Sculpted Artichoke

Originally I wanted to get about ten paintings done before approaching my favorite coffee shop about a little exhibit, but now I’m thinking I may need closer to fifteen in order to fill up enough space. Of course I would have my screenprints and some digital prints of older paintings on display too, but the idea of filling up as much wall space with my painting/collages makes me super excited.

Hm, seeing these all lined up makes me realize I’ve been favoring the yellow/green backgrounds pretty heavily! Totally going to incorporate in some more reds, blues, purples, and oranges.

Beets, Carrots, Radishes Triptych

Three paintings I finished back in June. Beets, carrots, and radishes.

October Sketch Challenge – Carrot

Psst– before I get to the art, you all remember that I’m speaking at Pacific University tomorrow, right? October 13th, 7:30pm, Forest Grove, OR! It’s freeee.

Okay, now that that’s out of the way…

Carrot leaves!

This is a crop of the full carrot drawing I did, which I wasn’t terribly happy with. But, y’know, here it is in full anyway :P
